Kemp and Associates Finds Vietnam War Army Captain
An international probate research firm, Kemp and Associates prevents an estate from being absorbed by the government after a person passes with no will. Kemp and Associates accomplishes this by locating rightful heirs and providing the court with evidence of the heirs’ connection to the deceased.
Since its founding in 1966, Kemp & Associates has successfully proven the validity of thousands of heirs. One of the firm’s more unique cases was the estate of a woman named Barbara B.
While looking at the estate, the Kemp team discovered that one of Barbara B.’s heirs was Robert “Bobby” Bacon, an army captain who served in the Vietnam War and appeared on the cover of Life magazine. In 1964, a photographer captured a picture of Bacon leading troops through the Mekong Delta. Although the photographer was killed soon after, the photo quickly became one of the most famous images from the Vietnam War.
Through research, the Kemp team also learned that Bacon had an eventful career after serving in Vietnam and worked for the Army Chiefs of Staff as an officer. During this time, he helped organize the funerals of both Senator Robert Kennedy in 1968 and President Dwight Eisenhower a year later.
